The main idea for the Frost Alert Display Circuit was taken from this circuit diagram.
I've changed the Output from Pin3 of the IC 555 timer. I connected the Pin3 to a Decade Timer (IC 4017) and connected an LED display to the Output of the IC 4017.
I could also connect the LED display straight to Pin3 of the 555 timer and get a perfect result. But for my projected I wanted the LEDs to flash continuously. This is where 4017 is necessary: it keeps switching ON and OFF continuously if the signal coming in is high (+) , resulting a flashing display.
